Risk Factors Associate with Dissociative Identity Disorder

The Dissociative identity Disorder (DID) is a psychological and complicated state of mind where a person suffers from multiple personality features. Due to the existence of multiple personalities in single entity, the affected person cannot communicate properly maintaining all the social norms and apparently makes chaos out of his/her presence. Mostly the personalities active within the senses are of contradictory in nature thus en real life the execution of the personalities become confusing and baffling the identity of the person remains at stake. The persons encountering DID suffer from certain phobias and that creates elementary trouble in normal living norms. This kind of persons become introvert and often become the patient of acute depression or aggressive character.

This disorder keeps a person in a make- believe world, and the due to the confrontation of dual or triple personalities within a single entity, patient can hear voice of someone or talks relentlessly with an imaginary person or describes himself as a different personality. While doing so, becomes an object of fun in the society that tends toward the identity crisis and the patient can be converted in a hyper-eccentric personality.

The disorder creates a self- harming tendency. Due to frenzy, a person can do serious harm that can be fatal.
DID can be generated from previous traumatic experience and the memory of past trauma may create a mental stigma; the affected person cannot overcome from this memory and a suicidal tendency is aroused within this person. This tendency recurs frequently and ultimately most of the patients of this disorder commit suicide.

The children suffering from Dissociative Identity disorder need to be take care properly otherwise he/she will grow up with this problem and will never be able to lead a normal healthy life.

This mental disorder creates a kind of escapism from the real world and drug and addiction for alcohol comes from it that proves fatal ultimately.
Sleep disorder is another allied problem within disorder and during sleep- walking or night terror a person being induced by hidden trait of personality may perform anti social activities that may spoil his/her normal living.
