DID In Women

The general cause of Dissociated Identity Disorder in affected person is childhood abuse and it may be either sexual assault or any abuse done by the family or relatives; it may be any deep loss or rigorous shock that had created a great loss in her memory filled with agony and depression. This kind of helplessness generates sense of escapism and out of that sub-pressed mental anguish the problem of personality disorder is generated. It has been revealed by the survey, the baby girls are mostly abused irrespective of the race, country and communities. Due to socio economic pattern and general trend of negligence on women most of these abuses are not taken care properly, sometimes it creates a trauma for the rest of her life.. This is not a modern disease because in past we had many incidents of DID which were used to be treated as a case of exorcism.

The cause of DID generation in women has many reasons and most of the reasons are generated from the social system. In most of the societies girls are treated as delicate and by default they are more fragile than a boy in average cases. It has been reviewed that the girls had faced sexual assault in most of the cases from the family members and the traumatic incident was sub-pressed by the senior lady members of the house for the sake of the girl’s future life. The fear, anguish and the helplessness of the bitter memory has created acute DID in the later life of that oppressed and abused girl.

Normally in an average in a DID affected woman more or less five personalities work simultaneously. The personalities are called alter and the most dominating one is called host. In other personalities one is generally an depressed and exhausted one, one is of strong and anger one protective in nature, one is helpless child, bearing the memory of the bitter trauma and then there is helper personality.
